Description and Quick Look
SELECTION TOOL. Selects whole objects. Objects need to be selected before moving, transforming, coloring, deleting, etc.
DIRECT SELECTION TOOL. Selects and moves parts of objects.
GROUP SELECTION TOOL. Select a single object in a group. Additional click will add to the selection in order the pieces are grouped.
LASSO TOOL. Drag over specific area to select parts of objects. Note that the lasso will only select the anchor points. To move the points, use the Direct Selection Tool.
MAGIC WAND TOOL. Selects all objects with same attributes. Example: Click on blue object. All blue are now selected and can be changed at once.
PEN TOOL. Creates anchor points and curved or straight vector lines. Click and let go, hover to new position, click and let go to make straight line. Click, drag, let go to create handle (Bezier curves) for curved lines.
ADD & DELETE ANCHOR TOOLS. Add anchor point to selected by hovering over line, then click. Selection tool must be used to move anchor point. Delete anchor point by hovering over anchor point and deleting.
ANCHOR POINT TOOL. Hover over anchor point. Click and drag handle to create curve or click and let go to remove curve.
CURVATURE TOOL. Create paths, toggle, edit, add, or remove smooth or corner points.
